KCS's is proud to announce that Trinity Hospice is its Charity of the Year. Trinity Hospices cares for the dying in our community. They serve a population of 750,000 people in London, 10,000 of whom learn they have a terminal illness each year. It costs £7.6 million each year to run the hospice, 40% of which comes from the NHS. The rest comes from individuals and organisations who raise money to ensure that Trinity can continue to support the dying and their families. Trinity Hospice Local Business Initiative
Supporting terminally ill patients at home
 
I am writing to ask you to consider joining Trinity’s Local Business Initiative – which will be launched in January to recognise the importance of local businesses to Trinity Hospice.
 
Trinity Hospice is a charity serving a catchment area of 750,000 people over 20 square miles of Central and South West London. It is a sad fact of life that within this community some 10,000 people a year are diagnosed with terminal illness.
 
All income raised from this initiative will fund Trinity’s Palliative Care Nurses who currently support over 1,750 terminally ill people in their homes every year. It costs on average £40,000 a year to support each nurse. Trinity Hospice currently runs a team of 13 nurses and would like to guarantee this service for many years to come.
 
The aim of this initiative is to raise £100,000 per year from local companies to help support those people and their families that want to remain at home for as long as possible.
 
We have three levels within this initiative:-
 
 
Gold Companion – with a gift of £1,000 per annum secures:
  • An invitation to the Corporate evening for the opening of our new building (2008)
  • Listing in our annual review which goes out all year to other businesses and community organisations, grant making trusts and individuals
  • Listing with contact details on our website
  • Our newsletter to keep you up to date with Trinity’s work
  • A tailored and laminated certificate to show your support of Trinity Hospice Palliative Care Nurses
  • Access to our PR specialist
 
Silver Companion – with a gift of £500 annually secures:
  • A tailored and laminated certificate to show your support of Trinity Hospice Palliative Care Nurses
  • Listing with contact details on our website
  • Our newsletter to keep you up to date with Trinity’s work
 
 
Bronze Companion – with a gift of £200 per annum secures:
  • A tailored and laminated certificate to show your support of Trinity Hospice Palliative Care Nurses
